Since 2008, The Friends of the Northumberland County Animal Shelter (FNCAS) has operated an indoor yard sale at the Northumberland school administration building, 2172 Northumberland Highway, Lottsburg.
Everything they sell is donated to benefit the shelter, reported president P.D. O’Keefe. Proceeds help fund the animal shelter.
“The yard sale helps a lot of people in the community by supplying them with low-cost quality items,” said O’Keefe.
Items include furniture, household items, toys, decorations and jewelry.
If someone is in need of something, they may call and request to be notified when a particular item may be donated, said yard sale manager Lois Ogburn.
Hours are 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays, noon to 4 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. second and fourth Saturdays.
O’Keefe noted the yard sale is run by dedicated volunteers.
