For many years, an elderly retired couple in the Merry Point area of Lancaster County could not walk into their home’s living area or bedroom without the fear of falling through the floor due to the deteriorated condition of the home’s floor support structure. Termites and rot had taken their toll on the floor’s supports.
Contractors were called in but no economically viable solution could be found. This is when Interfaith Services was contacted whose mission is “To spread God’s love through service,” said Ramp & Repair Division lead David Lacy. After many hours of discussion and prayer, a solution that was originally devised by Lacy’s wife, Patti, was adopted.
