IRVINGTON—As the 2024-25 fiscal year nears an end, the Irvington Town Council on Thursday, June 12, adopted a 2025-26 budget totaling $603,205, as well as several tax rates and fee schedules.
As adopted, the budget reflects a 2% increase over the current $592,874. Several factors contributed to the increase, including a jump in the flags and banners line item from $250 to $19,818 to cover the cost of 40 new American flags, poles, holders and installation.
A 10% increase for community support and tourism also is reflected in the budget, from $29,650 to $32,900.
Other notable increases in expenses come from increased sponsorships for community events, overall office expenses, increases to wages and salaries towards the deputy program and an increase in rent associated with a new town office lease.
Projected revenues reflect an anticipated 41% increase in overall local sales tax….
