IRVINGTON—As the town of Irvington continues to see an influx of inquiries related to apartments and tiny homes, the planning commission on Tuesday, December 2, began discussion of transient accommodations within the business (B1) zoning district.
Town Administrator Justin Nelson raised the topic of apartments for consideration to gage how the town feels about increased dwelling uses within B1, which is designated small-scale retail zoning.
Chairman Tom Chapman noted that in the town’s code, the term “dwelling” does not include apartments…..
