IRVINGTON—By unanimous vote, the Irvington Planning Commission on July 11 endorsed a zoning permit for Helen and William Fooks to construct a house within the resource protection area (RPA) at the end of Old Mill Cove Road.
While they had previously been denied approval in June, following further review the commission unanimously voted in favor. The pie-shaped lot on Old Mill Cove off Carter Creek created difficulties to not build within the RPA.
During discussion, commission member Dawn Fowl noted that with further review of the application, they learned that the building plans had an infringement of two feet into the RPA, rather than five feet as they originally thought.
