Irvington Town Council appoints Del Rio to vacant seat, reviews financial data

IRVINGTON—Following a closed session on Thursday,  April 14, the Irvington Town Council appointed Gabe Del Rio to serve as an interim member until a special election in November.

Council member Wayne Nunnally moved to appoint Del Rio with the rest of council voting in favor of the appointment, 5-0. Those voting in favor included Dudley Patteson, Jackie Brown, Judy Penniman and Bonnie Schaschek.

Former council member Anthony Marchetti recently stepped down from his position, which prompted council to appoint Del Rio to fill the vacancy.
