Irvington Town Council authorizes six additional rental units at REFUEL

IRVINGTON—Despite resident concerns and opposition, the Irvington Town Council on Thursday, September 12, authorized Albert Pollard Jr. to construct six additional cottages at REFUEL.

His related conditional use permit (CUP) was approved, 4-2. Prior to the vote, a number of residents voiced their concerns.

Theresa Ransome said REFUEL has been a nice addition to the community; however, the increased density from six to 12 units raises some concerns.

Martha Arthos also noted concerns with density. She questioned the related impact on noise levels, traffic and congestion, and if these factors would diminish neighboring property values.

Zoning Administrator Justin Nelson read three letters in opposition….
