Twenty-seven years ago Jacob’s Ladder held its first camp at Christchurch School.
The camp will celebrate its return to campus with Climber presentations of the “The Little Mermaid” at 2:30 and 7 p.m. July 28 in the Marston Performing Arts Center, Christchurch School Campus, 49 Seahorse Lane, Christchurch. The community is invited at no charge.
For Climbers, storytelling, speaking to defend a position in a debate, or the reading of a poem or vignette is an everyday occurrence at camp, reported grants coordinator and manager Madge H. Vosteen. These skills are further enhanced as each Climber is required to participate in a drama class.
