RICHMOND—It is with a heavy heart, the family of Jacquelyn Temple Harding “Jackie” House, announces her passing on November 26, 2022, at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond.
Jackie was born on July 20, 1948, in Richmond, the younger daughter of Carroll Emory and Leonora Temple (Dew) Harding. She lived most of her earlier years in Kilmarnock and graduated from Lancaster High School. After graduation she attended University of Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University, studying to become a legal secretary/assistant. She worked in several law firms in Richmond before retiring.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Carl Worth House Jr.; one sister, Alice Denise (Harding) Norris; her husband, Martin Lee Norris; and a family of cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as a large group of friends.
A memorial service for Jackie will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at First Baptist Church, 2709 Monument Avenue, Richmond.
Interment will take place at the Harding section of Rehoboth United Methodist Church Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, because of Jackie’s love of animals, especially the husky breed, donations are requested to be made to an animal shelter.
All friends and family wishing to help celebrate Jackie’s life are welcome to join us.
