REEDVILLE—In loving memory of a wife, mother, mawmaw dearly missed whom we all have lost way too soon with a heart of gold on Saturday, March 16, 2019, Janet Marie Linger, 60, of Reedville passed away.
She was born on March 22, 1958, in N.C. to Stacy I. George and Charles J. George. Her siblings were Charles J. George Jr. (deceased), Larry W. George Sr., Mary Robey, Billy R. George Sr., Donnie L. George Sr. (deceased), Linda K., Mansfield, Sarah Jean Miles, James R. George Sr., Tommy K. George, Sherry L. Harris and Mikey R. George.
She married the man of her dreams, Russell M. Linger, on October 19, 1984. They raised four children together, three sons and a daughter, William Lawrence (Margaret) George, Russell M. (Tracy) Linger Jr., Adrian Allen Linger (deceased), and Tamera Sue (Mark) Linger-Hollis.
As the children grew and made families of their own in Ohio and Virginia, she was blessed with 11 grandchildren, Kali M. George, Lawrence A. George, Colby L. George, Cole L. George, Timothy Dye, Nevada Linger, Alexis (Kyler) Linger-Jacks, Jessica Clare Kellum, Brooke D. Hollis, Brayden D. Hollis, Brach D. Hollis and Bridgette D. Hollis.; and five great-grandchildren.
Not only was she a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she worked at Wendy’s. She was a housewife and spent much of her time with her grandchildren and reaching out on the phone to always check on her family members to see that her youngins were taken care of for birthdays and holidays were covered from afar.
She had such a green thumb when it came to growing and caring for everything she touched. Her favorite pastime was listening to music and her favorite artist was Bon Jovi.
