ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA.—On February 12, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. John “Captain Jack” F. Battaglia, 74, of St. Augustine, Fla., formerly of Reedville, boarded his charter boat to heaven.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Chris; and sister, Sue (Joe) Madej; grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, Ashleigh and Jada; and great-grandson, Lucas. Also surviving are many, many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will dearly miss him.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Robin Battaglia Utter; brothers, Tom and Joe; and his parents.
He will be finding all the best fishing spots for us and will have the boat waiting to help ease our crossing.
One of Jack’s greatest joys in life was making people smile.
