John E. Hurst

WARSAW—John E. “Johnny” Hurst, 69, of Warsaw passed away on June 7, 2018. He was a U. S. Army Vietnam veteran.

He is survived by his daughter, Traci Hurst-Morataya; son-in-law, Doug Morataya; two grandchildren, John and Reese Morataya; stepdaughter, Dawn Maxwell; sister, Virginia Rhodes; two brothers, Ennis Hurst and Tommy Hurst; ex-wife, Diane Hurst; girlfriend, Patricia Conley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Johnny was an auto mechanic for A & M Auto and Truck Repair in Kilmarnock. He never met a stranger that didn’t become a friend, was a wonderful, loving man to everyone that he knew and he greatly enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
