June activities at Menokin

The Menokin Foundation, 4037 Menokin Road, Warsaw, recently announced special events for June.

 A glass carving lecture and demonstration will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 13. The speaker will be Ryan Tanner. The fee is $10.

Tanner began working with glass in 2007 during his study at Virginia Commonwealth University, said director of marketing/assistant director Leslie Rennolds. In 2008, he began his research into the history of cameo glass engraving in an attempt to recreate past techniques, a passion he still pursues.
