Judy Bishoff

Judy Bishoff

WEEMS—Judy Bishoff, 71, of Weems passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on January 23, 2021.

She was a loving, caring, devoted housewife, mother and “gramma,” daughter and friend. Judy was very proud of her family and she loved the holidays and all family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was most important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing to make sure everyone had their favorite foods. She would always greet the neighborhood kids as her own, with an open door, a smile on her face, and enough food and “pop” for all.

Judy could always be found supporting both her sons and grandkids at all school/sporting events. Judy was one of a kind and touched the lives of many with her unconditional love, generosity, and kindness. She leaves a void that simply cannot be filled and she will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband and soulmate of 54 years, Duane Bishoff; her two sons, Darryl Bishoff (Sarah) of Richmond and Doug Bishoff (Lindsay) of Urbanna; her two cherished grandchildren, Cayden and Kelsey Bishoff; cousins, Norman Graham (Elsie) and Charles Gehr, who were just like brothers; and all of her extended Bishoff family.

She was preceded in death by her mother and best friend, Doris Ann Wylie; and her father, George Hill.

Judy was never one to be the center of attention and therefore was laid to rest at a private graveside service at Morattico Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Children’s Hospital Foundation Nephrology Department 1006 E. Marshall Street Box 980693 Richmond, VA 23298 or online at  HYPERLINK “https://support.chfrichmond.org/site/Donation2?idb=2083903335&1400.donation=form1&df_id=1400&mfc_pref=T&autologin=true&idb=%5b%5bS76:idb” chfrichmond.org/give in honor of her grandson.

Currie Funeral Home LLC of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
