The Lancaster High School junior varsity baseball team dropped two games last week to fall to 0-3 to start the season.
Errors played a key role in a one-run loss to Northumberland on March 21. The Indians scored 11 runs in the second inning and Lancaster trailed by nine runs going into the bottom of the seventh when NHS held off a furious comeback to hold on for a 12-11 win.
Lancaster scored five runs in the third to cut the NHS lead to 11-8. The Devils gave up one in the top of the fourth and put another three on the board in the bottom of the frame before leaving two on base to end the inning and game, which was called due to a time limit….
