Lancaster track teams score high

The Lancaster boys track and field team had an impressive runner-up finish among 22 teams in the Charles City Invitational on Saturday, March 25. The LHS girls team placed fifth among 20 schools.

Led by Reece Rhodes and Matthew Kane, the boys team scored 87 points for second place. Maggie Walker High School (MWHS) scored 101 to win the invitational. Prince George and Henrico tied for third with 56 points each and Arcadia was fifth with 44 points.

Rhodes won the shot put, 49’8”, and was the runner-up in the discus, 135’3”. Kane won the 800-meter run, 2:04.76.
