JV Lady Devils still searching for a win

Despite scoring 16 runs in their first three games, the Lady Devils are still looking for their first win in junior varsity softball.

They fell three runs short on Wednesday, April 8, losing to Middlesex, 10-13 to fall to 0-3.

“This year we want to develop life-long teamwork and leadership skills,” said LHS coach Emily Withers. “We want to learn the fundamentals of the game and to work hard and improve throughout the season.”

The team is young, with eight eighth graders on the 13-player roster.

Teammates include sophomore first baseman and right fielder Makala Dodson and freshmen second baseman Mar’Kazjah Ball, third baseman/left fielder Dynasty Noel, outfielder Porshia Henderson and second baseman/right fielder Sophia Clarke.
