Kane leads Lancaster to cross country win

Matthew Kane was the individual medalist, leading 46 runners in a three-team boys cross country meet at Hills Quarter last week.

Kane ran the race on his home trail in 18:40 to lead Lancaster to a team win with a low 34 points.

King William was second with 37 points and Middlesex third with 50. The Cavaliers’ Jeremy Mace was the runner-up, 18:47, and Trent Mace was third, 18:55.

Lancaster had four of its five scorers finish in the top 10 with Josh Woolard placing fourth, 18:58, Isaiah Minter seventh, 19:50, Jameson Scott eighth, 19:54 and River Diaz, 14th, 20:42. Ewan Scott, Ethan Parks and
