RICHMOND—Kevin Tyrone White Sr. died April 27, 2018, in Albermarle.
He was born February 19, 1975, to the late Sylvester James White and Catherine Elizabeth Jones White.
He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, White Stone, and educated in Lancaster County schools. Kevin joined the Army National Guard Reserves and later completed Empire Beauty School in Richmond.
Kevin worked in his father’s lawn care business and later as a barber. He became the official Wolfpack barber. He most recently owned WhiteHouse Barber and Beauty, in partnership with his life partner and devoted friend, Katina L. Poole-Berry.
In addition to Katina Poole-Berry, he is survived by his children, Deshia, Kevin Jr., Devin, Malachi and Mikayla; grandchildren, Jasmine, Thomas, Braxton, Ethan and Adrian; his mother, Catherine Elizabeth Jones White; sisters, Paula Braxton of Chester and Gwendelle Jones of Lancaster; grandmother Dorthy M. Jones of Kilmarnock; stepmother Angela White; and stepbrothers, Tyler, Michael and Andre.
A funeral was held May 4 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Interment followed at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
