KILMARNOCK—New recreational bike trails could be developed following the town council’s acceptance of a deed of gift of real property on Fox Hill Drive from M&S Investments during a Monday, April 15, meeting.
According to town attorney Nancyellen Keane, the investment group was more or less looking to simply remove the property from its real estate portfolio and by state law council needs to officially accept or reject any gift that is offered to the town.
Zoning administrator Marshall Sebra said the timing of the gift is very beneficial as they had previously discussed recreational land that could merge with Town Centre Park.
