Kilmarnock council covers a lot of ground

KILMARNOCK—Town manager Susan Cockrell on Monday, July 19, announced Sharon Phillips is Kilmarnock’s new economic development coordinator.

Phillips recently left her position as treasurer and clerk for the Town of Irvington and said she is looking forward to working with businesses throughout Kilmarnock.

Public comment
During the public comment portion of the town council meeting, Carroll Lee Ashburn—along with board members of the Kilmarnock Museum present for support—asked council to consider making a donation to the museum to help sustain its operations.

In recent years, the museum has lost a lot of its fundraising ability, and an annual grant worked into the budget could considerably help….
