Lakia Kelly, founder of Love & Loyalty Enterprises, recently opened Grace Haven Senior Center at 53 West Church Street, Kilmarnock.
The senior center is the latest addition to the company’s many services, including homecare, recruitment, transportation and a diagnostic center.
Kelly, a graduate of Lancaster High School now pursuing a degree in criminal justice from Virginia State University, is the chief executive officer and spark behind all of the moving parts and pieces of Love & Loyalty Enterprises.
She founded the company after her grandmother was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer and she watched her family care for her.
“Being able to be sick at home, or heal at home, is something everyone should be able to do,” said Kelly. “And homecare isn’t just about the sick but it’s also about the families as well.”
Inspired by her family’s care of her grandmother, Kelly grew a network of care-driven companies, the latest of which is Grace Haven, the only adult day care facility in Kilmarnock and one of just a few in….
