At 2:47 a.m., January 30, the Kilmarnock Police Department responded to a 911 call of a potential breaking and entering at a residence in Kilmarnock.
Upon the arrival of the officer and emergency services personnel, a male was found with gunshot wounds who subsequently succumbed on scene, according to a press release issued by the Town of Kilmarnock and the Kilmarnock Police Department.
“At this time, there is no reason to believe anyone else is involved in this situation other than those at the scene. Kilmarnock Police Department, along with Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department, are working together to deploy all available resources on this case” said Chief of Police Cliff Dawson.
This remains an active investigation.
