KILMARNOCK—The Kilmarnock Town Council on Monday, September 18, received a briefing on recent business developments as well as the annual “Fall Into Kilmarnock” promotion.
Council’s economic development committee chairman Kylie Abbott informed council The Master Center, a private addiction treatment program, opened behind Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital earlier on Monday. The treatment center is an outpatient facility, she said.
Meanwhile, Carried Away Cuisine will close at the end of the month, she said. The building sold recently at auction to local entrepreneur Emily Hoar, a current business owner in town.
Abbott noted the new Dairy Queen will open soon, but there is no firm date yet.
According to town manager Susan Cockrell, the franchise is looking to open some time in October and is scheduling a hiring event for the end of September.
