The Dave Marchant Memorial Virginia Veterans Tournament was held September 22 at Piankatank River Golf Club (PRGC) in Hartfield. The tournament was hosted by the local assembly of the patriotic Fourth Degree Order of the Knights of Columbus.
The event is named for Marchant who led the assembly at the time of his death in 2020, reported Gary Richardson. Proceeds benefit the Virginia Veterans Services Foundation, which in turn supports the Virginia Department of Veterans Services. Together they address the needs of those who have served and their families.
