Lady Devils fall to Rappahannock, 6-2; Northampton, 9-2; Northumberland, 11-0

Riley Baughan retired seven and gave up only two hits in four innings to lead Rappahannock over Lancaster, 6-2, in a varsity softball game last Wednesday.

It was the first time in four years that Lancaster had played a complete game instead of a 10-run rule outing against the Raiderettes. Lancaster committed three errors and Rappahannock drew three walks which helped account for three runs.

Anna Lewis went 2-for-3 with an RBI, Elizabeth Kellum was 1-for-2 with an RBI and Ashley Perry was 1-for-2 with a home run for an RBI and two runs scored to lead Rappahannock’s offense.

Baughan walked five batters. Lancaster’s Blair Smith went all seven with nine strikeouts, three walks and six hits allowed for one of her best outings…
