Lady Devils return to the diamond with a bang

Lancaster’s varsity softball team got off to a 2-0 start last week behind a couple of young pitchers and some big hits from its upperclassmen.

The Lady Devils opened with a 16-4 win over West Point last Tuesday, then defeated Middlesex, 12-5, last Thursday.

Four hits from junior Riley Molineaux helped lead Lancaster to its season-opening rout of the Pointers and senior Madison Davis drove in two runs with a double.

Molineaux, who plays first base, outfield and is a sometime pitcher, went 4-for-4 against West Point with a single in the first, third and seventh and a triple…
