The Lady Devils scored eight runs in the sixth inning in a 13-3 win over Arcadia on March 22 to pick up their first win in varsity softball. Lancaster improved to 1-2 with the win on the Eastern Shore.
Braelyn Johnson went the distance in the circle for the win. She helped herself at the plate with a double in the top of the third to drive in one run and give Lancaster an early 3-0 lead.
Lancaster had gotten on the board in the first inning after a double by Lily Hathaway, who went 2-for-5 with three runs batted in.
The Devils went through the lineup in the top of the sixth, scoring eight runs on two hits, a walk and two Arcadia errors.
Lily Russell hit a three-run triple.
The Devils drew eight walks in the game and had four stolen bases.
Lancaster will face the Firebirds again at 6 p.m. April 2 at Dream Fields in Kilmarnock.
