Lancaster board recognizes accomplishments, Commissioner of the Revenue and dispatcher

LANCASTER—The Lancaster board of supervisors on Thursday, December 9, recognized the accomplishments of two county employees, Commissioner of the Revenue Marlon Savoy and emergency medical services (EMS) dispatcher Heather Jenkins.

Savoy and her office were awarded 2021 Office Accreditation, meeting “the rigorous standards set forth by the Commissioners of the Revenue Association of Virginia,” as stated in a letter from T. Scott Harris, career development program chairman with the association.

Jenkins was recognized by the Peninsulas Emergency Medical Services (PEMS) Council, receiving the regional Outstanding EMS Telecommunication Officer/Dispatch award for 2021. The PEMS service area includes the cities and counties within the Peninsula, Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck.
