Lancaster comes up short against Essex

The Essex Trojans collected all three of their runs in their first at bat and that proved enough offense in a 3-1 win over Lancaster on Wednesday, May 7, in varsity baseball.

The Red Devils were held to four hits through seven innings by winning pitcher Noah Thompson and scored their only run on a solo homer by Brady Vanlandingham in their final trip to the plate.

The loss dropped Lancaster to 10-7 overall and 3-4 in the Northern Neck District for fourth place in Region 1A ….
