Lancaster County Circuit Court Report

LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Friday, December 17, with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.

In the case of Clinton R. Chewning of Weems, charged with three felonies for failing to comply with pre-trial conditions, a trial will be set on January 28, 2022.

David M. Green of Lancaster appealed a General District Court bond decision and bond was again denied.

In the case of John B. Russell Jr. of Midlothian, who previously pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of practicing as an attorney without a license, a post-trial motion was continued by the defense until March 18.

In the case of Ronald E. Holmes Jr. of Lancaster, charged with a felony for rape by force or threat and a felony for sodomy of a helpless victim or with force, a jury trial was scheduled for April 13 through 15.
