LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened July 13 with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.
The case of Sharon K. Pelkey of Weems, charged with nine felony probation violations, was continued for review March 1.
Lorenzo W. Jones Jr. of Richmond, charged with a felony probation violation, pled guilty and was sentenced to 2 years and 10 months with 2 years and 6 months suspended.
The case of Maria F. Thompson of Cardinal, charged with one felony and two misdemeanor probation violations, was continued to September 7.
The case of Chris Pack of Lancaster, charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession, was continued for arraignment July 20.
Jonte A. Towles of Lancaster, charged with three felony and one misdemeanor probation violations, was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months with 1 year and 8 months suspended.
The case of Kenyan L. Watson of Chesapeake, charged with grand larceny and failing to appear, was continued to July 20.
The case of Marvin W. Davenport Jr., no address listed, charged with use of a fire arm, shooting to commit a felony, second degree murder and violent felony weapon possession, was continued to August 10 for a jury trial. Davenport is charged with second degree murder in the 2010 death of Jasmine Smith at a yard party in Nuttsville.
The case of Curtis M. Mitchell of King George, charged with five counts of selling or providing resale of a Schedule I or II drug, was continued to November 30.
The case of James W. Folan of Lancaster, charged with the unauthorized use of vehicle/larceny and grand larceny, was continued for trial September 21.
The case of William D. Rodgers of Weems, charged with attempted second degree murder, was continued for trial October 12.
