Lancaster girls fall to Essex, Rappahannock

Essex used a 22-point third quarter to blow open a four-point game and go on to beat Lancaster, 58-46, in a Northern Neck District varsity girls basketball game last Thursday.

Rappahannock also defeated the Lady Devils last week when LHS dropped to 5-11 overall and 1-6 in the district. Lancaster was scheduled to end regular season play this week against Washington & Lee. The season ender against Northumberland scheduled for February 14 won’t be played. The Lady Indians have forfeited that game.
