Lancaster harriers run near the front in Dorner Invitational

Lancaster harrier Matthew Kane placed third in the ‘A’ race of the Albert E. Dorner Newport News Invitational at Newport News Park on Saturday, September 9.

Kane led Lancaster’s two runners in the boys ‘A’ race, running the three-mile course in 17:11.20. Teammate Josh Woolard placed fifth with a time of 17:44.12.

Lancaster’s River Diaz was fifth in the ‘B’ race in 19:38.92. 

The LHS girls team placed second in the ‘B’ race. Allison Foulkes placed fifth in 25:36.45. Danyiah Cofield was eighth, 27:02.49, and Marley Bean, 12th, 28:14.44.

The Red Devils on Wednesday, September 20, will host multiple schools at 5 p.m. at the Hills Quarter course near Kilmarnock.
