Lancaster harriers win district championships

Hailey Smith and Michael Foulkes paced runners in the Northern Neck District’s girls and boys cross country races last week as the individual medalists to lead Lancaster to a dual championship. 

Smith was three minutes faster than runner-up Camden Sisk of Northumberland to lead 15 female runners on the course at Hills Quarter near Kilmarnock. Michael Foulkes was almost a minute faster than teammate Isaiah Minter in the boys race, which included 16 runners.

Lancaster fielded the only complete five-person team in the girls meet to claim the championship trophy with….[to-view-more]
