Lancaster indoor track teams have experience, drive to go the distance

Lancaster High School coach Draper Washington has a core group of state placers returning and some talented newcomers, making expectations high for the girls and boys indoor track teams.
After two meets the Red Devils have already pre-qualified three for the Class 1/2 state meet, happening in February.
Topping the list of returners is state and nationally ranked thrower, senior Reece Rhodes, who has won the shot put in both of Lancaster’s first two meets.
“We have a lot of experience returning on this boys team that finished third in the state last year,” said Washington. “The majority of the guys also were on the outdoor state championship team….
