Lancaster jv girls open with 1-1 week

After a season opening loss to Rappahannock Tuesday, April 27, the Lady Devils rebounded to pick up a 6-1 win over Washington & Lee the next day to get off to a 1-1 start in junior varsity softball.

Coaches Stephanie Naumoff and Le’Aria Kelley return two sophomores and several freshmen on the young squad, which also includes six eighth grade newcomers.

“The girls have been practicing hard and we’ve been making small adjustments with fielding and hitting at every practice. We have many talented and athletic girls this year and I can’t wait to see how much they accomplish…
