On path to state championship, Red Devils start season strong

Coach Dwayne Pinn skirts around what every Red Devil fan is thinking…this is the year!

“We’re looking at this as four seasons, the regular season, district tournament, region tournament and state tournament. And we’re taking it one game at a time, not wanting them to feel the pressure,” said Pinn. “The goal right now is to be the best team in the first season.”

A young Lancaster varsity basketball team was stopped one game short of the state championship in 2021-22 after putting together a 24-2 campaign as a Class 1 semifinalist. The preseason polls rank the Red Devils number one this year and so far they haven’t disappointed….
