Lancaster Players assembles cast of seasoned talent and new voices

Faced with the prospect of covering their brother’s escalating counseling bills, (from left) Phoebe Hollingsworth, Caroline Sullivan and Cheryl Hoovler lean toward less costly family support in “The Prisoner of Second Avenue.”

The Lancaster Players will present “The Prisoner of Second Avenue” in March at The Playhouse, 361 Chesapeake Drive, White Stone.

Evening performances will begin at 8 p.m. March 6–7, 13–14 and 20–21. Matinees will begin at 3 p.m. March 8, 15 and 22. The Playhouse and cash bar will open an hour prior to curtain.

Tickets are $30 and may be purchased at lancasterplayers.org, or 435-3776.

The cast brings together an engaging mix of seasoned performers and fresh faces, reported Karen Stanley. John Pitman, whose history with the Lancaster Players stretches back to the 1980s, returns to the stage alongside….
