KILMARNOCK—Excitement was in the air as school leadership on Monday, August 14, presented their upcoming year plans to the Lancaster school board in preparation of welcoming students on Monday, August 21.
Early Childhood Education Center coordinator Amanda Ambrose said she is “honored” to take over the role and announced the theme of the upcoming year is “When the Adventure Begins.” One new program will be Career Fun Friday. “We’re going to pick a career, focus on it, learn about it” with plans to get out into the community once a month on related field trips.
Ambrose said they also will build on last year’s successes with family engagement events and will hold a Meet the Teacher event from 4-6 p.m. tonight, August 17.

Lancaster Elementary School principal Keegan Walters said staff is busy preparing the new school for students and he is “excited about seeing how our students respond to these renovations and new spaces.”
Walters said parent engagement is a focus….
