WEEMS—Lancaster superintendent Jessica Davis said the school division is “really delving into three of our six priorities” associated with its strategic plan, including post-secondary success, a positive and safe environment, and student achievement and growth.
During the school board meeting on Monday, November 11, Davis told board members they are building on last year’s success with resumes for graduating seniors. “This year our seventh graders all decided on their three pathways. Those can change, but we have targeted areas to look at with kids and continuing to teach the three Es of readiness, employment, enlistment or continuing education,” said Davis.
They also are developing a visual of the passport to graduation so parents and students can understand what the process and milestones look like from pre-K to 12.
In addition to a continued push to reduce chronic absenteeism and increase student achievement, Davis added they are working on creating positive and safe environments….
