Lancaster schools observe Bullying Prevention Month

At the Lancaster School Board meeting last Tuesday, middle school principal Jessica Davis and primary school principal Michael Daddario reported on what their schools did to observe National Bullying Prevention Month in October.

Students were able to hear lessons and partake in activities geared toward raising awareness about bullying and promoting kindness at both schools.

Lancaster Middle School (LMS) has ongoing intervention and support programs in place for anti-bullying throughout the year as well as one-time interventions in September and October, said Davis.

The administration investigates a bullying behavior after a student reports a repeated pattern. If the behavior is confirmed, a warning will be issued. However, if the bullying continues…
