LANCASTER—In a joint meeting of the Lancaster board of supervisors and school board on Thursday, January 26, the school board received unanimous approval to move forward with a plan increasing the size of the auditorium at the future middle/high school at a cost of approximately $2 million.
The school board has been working on the design requirements of the $63.1 million school, planning on a 250-seat auditorium based on state recommendations, according to superintendent Jessica Davis. “They recommend seating for a third to half of the ADM (average daily membership), which is around 470 for grades 7-12,” she said. This compares to the auditorium at the middle school which seats 500.
