LEAD River Counties continues to evolve

LEAD Northern Neck recently announced a name change to LEAD River Counties; however, the mission remains the same.

In 2013, the first LEAD class completed the eight-session, eight-month program. This past May, the seventh class of LEAD alumni became part of a group of approximately 150 persons who have participated in the LEAD program.

According to LEAD River Counties steering committee chairman Sissy Crowther, the mission of LEAD is to develop community leaders.

“By giving them the knowledge, tools and personal contacts, LEAD helps leaders to excel at what they do and, in turn, to advance the economic and social well-being of everyone in the region,” said Crowther.
