WHITE STONE—Leon Owens, 89, of White Stone passed away July 3, 2022. He was a retired coal miner and bus mechanic and a Korean War veteran.
He is survived by his daughters, Beulah Long (William) of Culpeper, LaDonna Fry of Mathews and Barbara Owens of White Stone; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cloah B. Owens; grandson, Adam Williams; and nine siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at White Stone Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
