WEEMS—Maude Elizabeth “Betty” Hatton Patterson, 92, of Weems, Virginia passed away July 1. She taught at a nursery school for 30 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Frances P. Lee (Foster) of Weems; grandchildren, Melanie L. Stephens (Greg) of Mechanicsville and Kevin Lee (Jamie) of Moseley; great-grandchildren, Rachel Stephens, Nathan, Colby and Dustin Lee; sister, Mary Ann Dameron of Mila; brother, Franklin Hatton of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Patterson.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July, 5, at Irvington United Methodist Church, Irvington. Interment followed the service at White Stone United Methodist Church Cemetery, White Stone. Family receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
