LES fourth graders visit Jamestown

Lancaster Elementary School (LES) fourth graders recently visited Jamestown.

During a guided field trip, students explored the re-created colonial fort. There, they discussed how the government was organized, learned about the daily activities of the colonists under martial law and attended a musket-firing demonstration.

They also explored Paspahegh Town, learning about the way of life for the Paspahegh Indians, a Powhatan tribal group who….
