LES hosts Family Night

Lancaster Elementary School (LES) on October 16 hosted the first of a series of Family Night events planned throughout the school year. Students and their families were treated to complimentary dinner and participated in various literacy and science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) activity stations, staffed by school faculty, as well as upper grade level LES students, reported Joanna Marchetti.

Families worked together to create a “pumpkin chunkin’” catapult, a leaf art project and candy corn cup stacking towers, said Marchetti. Approximately 200 participants attended the event.

Family Night is funded with support from the Wiley Foundation, with the goal of providing family engagement opportunities within the school.
