A record number of community members on October 12 celebrated 15 years of building great futures at the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN) in Kilmarnock at the annual Reach for the Stars Gala.
“Thank you to all who have helped support the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck either with your generous donations or with your time,” said education director Sue Berg. “All proceeds will directly support youth development programs that foster academic success, healthy lifestyles and character and leadership development for young people ages 6-18.”
The record attendance of more than 300 included founding partners who traveled from as far as Florida who were recognized for their visionary leadership in getting the club established. Club teens provided entertainment during the event and Big Red Flea auctioneer Brad Smith led an auction to break last year’s fundraising….
