While the 90 graduates of Lancaster High School’s Class of 2022 are forever changed by a pandemic, their graduation celebration on Saturday, May 21, represented a return to tradition with the entire class gathering for a single ceremony on the outdoor field along with friends and family in the bleachers.
Despite the two years of limited interaction, or perhaps because of it, the students that make up the Class of 2022 have still managed to come together and form tight bonds with one another, with words of encouragement in the speeches and yelled to each other throughout the ceremony.
Addressing her classmates, senior class president Ainsley Mumford remarked, “This may be the very first and last time that we are all in the same place at the same time.” Mumford, the daughter of….
